A word from our sponsors...

GangBang Park would like to give a shout out to some good folks who have in one way or another contributed to the making of The Icarus Line record.

Digidesign: Anthony over at Digidesign got GBP started with a command 8 that he had sitting around eventually sprouting to a full HD rig. Anthony has had our backs the entire way always being on point and taking the time. Rad.

GodLyke: If you play guitar with pedals then chances are you have fucked around with Maxon or Guyatone. Kevin at Godlyke has turned us on to some of their coolest pedals and been a real sport about letting the kids go nuts on effects. Check out what they have cos almost all of it is dope.

Pearlman: We needed a real tube mic. Something that could handle anything we threw at it with class. The Icarus Line tracked Mono at Rotund Rascal in NoHo in the early 2000's on the Dark Side of the Moon Quad 8 console. Like regular for those times, we were smoking a mile of weed and watching bad porn in the lounge. The middle aged owner Dave showed up unannounced with a lady friend near the end of the night and everyone in the band had that feeling like maybe we were getting rolled on.  Was it time to go to the principals office? Not tonight. Dave rolled in, sat down and his lady friend pulled out her stash. He ended up being a true pimp. Flash forward to 2008 and i'm looking for THE mic. Turns out Dave had developed his own take on a U47 and it fit the bill perfectly.  Built by hand with custom wound transformers; these are the real shit. Check these mics out before you plop down and extra six g's for a badge you heard of in Tape Op. Sweet stuff.

Fender/Gretsch:  We have been with Fender pretty much since we started smashing instruments. With such a high volume of destroyed instruments they have always made sure we can replace our hard lived axes. They also just did a custom Gretsch for Annie that is one of a kind and very sweet. Solid Folks. Billy is the man.

Samson: Don't snob your nose at me. My uncle Freddy works here. they make solid shit that is holding the whole studio together. Do you know how much mic stands cost these days? Well these guys do and they know how to drop a price without dropping quality.  Thank you  Brian D and Samson.

Vintage FX: True bypass reproduction of the moserite fuzzrite? hell yeah.  These pedals are all over the record.

Vintage King: Jeff has been on top of making sure we always have something that works. When I have stupid questions about how to flip a power switch he will pretend like its not the lamest question he's heard.  I wouldn't buy new pro audio from anywhere else. Also it's nice to talk to someone who knows what Safe as Milk means. Try that out at Guitar Center....
